This three-hour writing workshop with New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Cindy Dees, covers three topics with a Q&A to follow. Attendees can expect a personalized experience from "The Typed Writer" and will have the chance to workshop your characters and optimize your marketing efforts so you can build your audience without overdoing it.

Topics

  1. The Typed Writer
What's your greatest strength as a writer? What's your kryptonite? Are you working with or against your natural tendencies? Register before September 23rd, and, prior to the workshop, you will be sent a short online test and receive a personalized report showing your writer type. Bring your results to the workshop, and Cindy Dees will explore what your type means for your writing.

  2. A Master Class in Characterization
So, you need the basics. Or, you're a pro who has been building characters for years. How do you dig deeper and push your skills to the next level? Cindy Dees will show you how to build memorable characters and compelling conflict between them. Come prepared to work on your characters!

  3. Must-Do Marketing
Whether you're a traditional print author or haven't self-published yet, there are basics every writer must do to reach readers and build an audience. Cindy Dees will run through the must-do branding and marketing checklist necessary for every author in the publishing industry today.
